MODERATION
Can't find someone? We'll give it a go!
Moderation Form
Fill out the form below and we'll write to you. If you haven't heard from us within two school weeks, don't forget to check your spam/junk folder (or prompt us again). You do not need to be in the Bay of Plenty, or subscriber of Bay Science, to complete this form — but you do need to be a teacher.
How does this work?
We’re here to help connect kaiako (teachers) with others who can support moderation requests. Just a heads-up: Bay Science doesn’t carry out moderation ourselves — we simply help make the connections.
When you complete this form, Bay Science will attempt to connect you with:
-
A regional subject association representative;
-
A fellow kaiako (teacher) who is a reader/subscriber of Bay Science; or
-
An executive member of a relevant subject association.
We will also:
-
Email you manually to confirm we’ve received your request;
-
We’ll do a quick check (school website, staff directory, or Teaching Council register), or write to you directly, to confirm that you are a teacher.
-
Keep you in the loop with news and announcements (unsubscribe anytime)
Important to note:
-
Bay Science does not carry out moderation — we only act as a connector.
-
All rauemi (resources) and moderation decisions remain the responsibility of the subject association, teacher, or group you are connected with.
-
Please do not include any personally identifiable information about ākonga (students) (such as names, photographs, or work samples) in this form.
-
Other than your name, kura, and email, please do not include additional personal information.
-
We cannot guarantee that a moderator will always be found, or that they will accept your request.
-
By submitting, you acknowledge that Bay Science is facilitating a connection only, and is not responsible or liable for the outcome, process, or quality of any moderation undertaken by others.
-
Any submission that does not comply with these terms will not be acknowledged or processed.
