For a number of years, the University of Waikato School Te Aka Mātuatua (School of Science) has organised an Analytical Chemistry Competition that involves school teams of Year 13 students in a full day event.

This year, the competition will take place on Tuesday 10th of June at the School of Science of the University of Waikato. Schools may enter teams of four Year 13 students.
Prizes are still being finalised but there will be cash prizes and a trophy for the winning team. Certificates of participation will also be awarded to teams to recognise their involvement.
Students and schools who are interested may have already received email correspondence. However, due to the limited lab space which is available team entries will be considered on a first-in basis. Schools will only get the opportunity to enter a second team if there are spaces available.
