From 10–16 November 2025, the Bay of Plenty will come alive with creativity, kōrero, and climate action as Envirohub Bay of Plenty hosts the annual Climate Action Festival — a week celebrating the small steps and big ideas shaping a sustainable future for Aotearoa New Zealand.


Across Tauranga and the Western Bay, visitors can expect workshops, talks, eco-markets, art exhibitions, and hands-on activities that showcasing examples of climate action.


This year's event offerings include:


Ahead of the festival, the Climate Canvas: Art for Action competition is already open for entries. Artists of all ages are invited to express their vision for a thriving, climate-resilient Bay of Plenty through painting, sculpture, photography, or mixed media.


Finalist works will be showcased at The Cargo Shed (13–16 November), before moving to Matter Gallery for a public exhibition later in the month. The competition provides a creative platform for dialogue — turning personal expression into collective inspiration.
