The University of Waikato invites high school students to its annual Experience Science event this April, offering a unique opportunity to dive into the world of scientific study and exploration.

On April 17th 2025, the spotlight is on Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, and Ecology & Biodiversity. This event is perfect for students making those pivotal decisions about their university education. Participants will engage in mini-lectures, participate in discussions with current students from the enviro subjects, tour the university campus, and enjoy a meal in the student residence halls. Additionally, they’ll gain practical experience with 1.5 hours of lab time, getting hands-on across these diverse scientific disciplines.

While the Biology session on April 15th is nearly full, there are still openings for the Enviro Sciences sessions on the 16th. This is a fantastic chance for Year 12 and 13 students to get a head start on their university journey in a supportive and immersive environment.
