Finalised versions of the Years 1 to 10 science and social sciences learning areas arrived on August 12th. As schools prepare for implementation, understanding how content, practices, and local contexts fit together is essential for every classroom in Aotearoa.

To help educators navigate these updates, a programme of online events will run on Thursday, 27 August. These sessions cover cross-curricular links, practical classroom applications, and open discussion on wider education changes.

Ngā mihi nui to Becky McCormack, Claire Coleman, NZAEE, and the Aotearoa Educators Collective for organising these online events. Kaiako appreciate opportunities to collaborate and discuss real-world science learning for rangatahi in Aotearoa.

Note: these events happen to be running on the same evening, and are not part of an organised programme.
