Finalised versions of the Years 1 to 10 science and social sciences learning areas arrived on August 12th. As schools prepare for implementation, understanding how content, practices, and local contexts fit together is essential for every classroom in Aotearoa.
To help educators navigate these updates, a programme of online events will run on Thursday, 27 August. These sessions cover cross-curricular links, practical classroom applications, and open discussion on wider education changes.
3:30 PM - Unpacking the Final Yr 1-10 Science & Social Sciences Curriculum: NZAEE National Learning Manager Becky McCormack leads an overview of content, practices, and environmental education opportunities.
