The short 35-minute film Recloaking the Bay is coming to Te Puke this November. It follows seven Bay of Plenty farmers who are reshaping how we think about food production and the environment.

Their stories highlight practical ways to protect water quality, restore wetlands, boost biodiversity, and create farms that are both climate-resilient and profitable. The film also shows how whole-catchment approaches are already making a difference — for our 13 lakes, our communities, and the generations to come.

📅 When: Tuesday 4 November

Time: 5.30 – 7.30 pm

📍Where: Capitol Cinema, Te Puke

After the screening, stay for pizza and a relaxed kōrero with others in the community.

Seats are limited, so be sure to reserve your free ticket and be part of this inspiring evening.

Ngā mihi ki a Wai Kōkopu for bringing this community event to Te Puke. It is also a valuable opportunity for teachers and students alike to experience local stories of restoration, biodiversity, and community action on film.
