The Wonder Project is the industry-led education initiative, designed to inspire rangatahi with science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).

This article provides information about a science-related experience to support school planning. |
The Wonder Project offers free NZ Curriculum-aligned learning programmes for Kiwi kaiako to run in their classrooms over a school term:
The Rocket Challenge – Term 2 | Year 5–6, Level 3/Phase 2
The Power Challenge – Term 2 | Year 7–8, Level 4/Phase 3
The Ice Cream Challenge – Term 3 | Year 5–6, Level 3/Phase 2
The Water Challenge – Term 3 | Year 7–8, Level 4/Phase 3
Programmes are fun, hands-on, engaging and accessible so they resonate with all ākonga, and especially girls, Māori and Pacific Peoples. Everything needed to run our programmes is provided free – including a challenge kit, ākonga learning material, and a challenge guide to support kaiako to deliver lessons with confidence.
Where possible, each programme is supported by volunteer STEM industry professionals who join classrooms as Wonder Project Ambassadors. Ambassadors build confidence in ākonga as they take on their learning journey and provide a source of meaningful representation.
