Environmental education is more crucial than ever for Aotearoa. Equipping our kaiako with the right tools ensures that rangatahi grow up understanding their local ecosystems and how to protect them.

Connecting real world environmental science with classroom learning takes skill. It requires grounding big concepts in place-based science that makes sense to local communities and local decision making. Finding the right professional development to bridge that gap is key; primary and intermediate kaiako can now apply for the BLAKE Inspire for Teachers 2026 programme.
