Pōhītoka: This post was updated on 22/11/25. With the Ministry’s updated curriculum implementation timeline we’ve extracted the specific events that matter most to Science and Pūtaiao. The page numbers below refer to a PDF document on Tāhurangi, and the items in italics have been extracted from the ‘Implementation Supports’ PDFs from the Curriculum Roadshow post on Tāhūrangi (as of 22 November 2025) for NZC and TMoA.




2025

Term 4


  • NZC Framework and TmoA Framework ready for use (p3).




2026

Term 1


  • In-class testing for Y0-10 for Pūtaiao and Science (p6)

  • Consultation for Y0–13 for Pūtaiao and Science (p6)

  • Implementation resources for Pūtaiao and Science (p8)

  • Limited release of Science and Pūtaiao kits for Y0–8 (p8) Curriculum Resources: The service will commence in Term 1 and grow throughout 2026, by Term 4 all schools will be able to book a full range of kits for Years 0-8.

  • Encouraged use of all Y9 content (p6)

  • Framework consultation for New Zealand Curriculum, Te Marautanga o Aotearoa (p6)

  • Curriculum days occurring at a time that suits schools (p8)

  • PLD modules available for cross curriculum design and planning (p8)
