Engaging Young Minds at the TENZ STEM Challenge Day 2026

Technology Education New Zealand, with support from the Networks of Expertise, is hosting an interactive event focused on early primary education. The day provides a structured environment where young learners can test ideas, cooperate on technical designs, and discover how engineering principles shape our communities.

  • Date: 20 August 2026.

  • Registration Deadline: Sign up by 07 August 2026.

  • Location: Point View School, Howick.

  • Target Audience: Year 3 and 4 students.

  • Partners: Supported by TENZ and NEX.

  • Planned Activities: Interactive options include LEGO Education tools, simple machine challenges, robotics trials, and basic coding exercises.


Developing Skills through the STEM Challenge Day 2026


STEM Challenge Day 2026 aims to immerse young rangatahi in interactive tasks that blend science, engineering, and mathematics. By working in groups, participants learn to communicate technical ideas, think critically, and manage small-scale design projects.
