Educator using a laptop with the Bay Science website open — connecting Bay of Plenty science educators and sharing updates like draft science curriculum feedback.

Tēnā koutou

Like many of you, we have been busy working through the draft science curriculum materials.

Public feedback is currently open on Tāhūrangi and will close on 24 April 2026.

We encourage you to submit feedback directly.

In addition, Bay Science intends to contribute an organisational-level response, and your whakaaro will help inform future PLD opportunities such as cluster hui, articles, and resource development.

We would appreciate your input on your initial impressions, broad reflections, and any aspects that have stood out to you so far.

Your input in our Draft Science Curriculum Survey will help us to:

  • understand your initial impressions of the draft,

  • identify areas where more targeted feedback may be needed, and

  • provide context to guide future PLD and article development.

Pōhitokā: At this stage, NZASE and ESSENZ are the only national-level science associations have started canvassing their members for draft science curriculum feedback. Bay Science welcomes the whakaaro of all our readers and is interested in your aspirations and concerns, even if you are outside of the Bay of Plenty.
