Year 11 students interested in science, maths, and engineering are invited to apply for the Women in Engineering Holiday Camp 2026 at the University of Auckland.


This free three-day daytime programme offers students the chance to experience hands-on engineering activities, meet new friends, and explore what studying engineering is really like.

Who can apply


  • Year 11 students identifying as women or non-binary

  • Students curious about science and maths

  • Creative thinkers and problem-solvers interested in future careers

  • Students do not need to already be planning an engineering career — curiosity and enthusiasm are encouraged.

🚗 Students must organise their own transport and accommodation


Applications close: 11:59pm, Sunday 15 March

Applicants will need to submit either:


  • a short written paragraph, or

  • a 2-minute video explaining why they would like to attend.
