Hauraki Gulf RŪNĀ Moanamana Monitoring Workshops with Sally Carson and Alisa Torgersen

This September, RŪNĀ and the New Zealand Marine Studies Centre are hosting a series of free Hauraki Gulf monitoring workshops for educators across Auckland.

Led by Sally Carson and Alisa Torgersen, these RŪNĀ Moanamana Monitoring Workshops are full-day sessions which build on the Marine Metre Squared (Mm2) programme. Kaiako will gain hands-on experience using citizen science tools and the Moanamana kit directly at local sailing clubs.


Kaiako from outside Auckland are also warmly welcome to attend.

  • Workshop Schedule:

    • Tuesday 15 September at Bucklands Beach Yacht Club

    • Wednesday 16 September at Wakatere Boating Club

    • Thursday 17 September at Gulf Harbour Yacht Club

    • Friday 18 September at Hobsonville Yacht Club

  • Time: 10:00am to 5:00pm

  • Cost: Free (supported by Foundation North)

  • Registration Deadline: Friday 28 August
