This upcoming PLD session for teachers addresses best practices for integrating numeracy with real-world science contexts.

Linda has also been putting together a huge unit of work for use towards Science 1.2 (Investigative Approaches). It could also be used for PESS 1.2 (Physics Investigation). This unit comes with lots of student activities as well as teacher notes that include suggested timings, explanations of physics concepts for non-specialists, technicians notes and links to the numeracy framework. It has been designed as  "ready to go" to reduce the workload of kaiako who are in remote areas"

This cluster will also include a session on writing assessment schedules and moderating student work.
