PPTA Te Wehengarua is calling for Expressions of Interest for Tirotiro Anō, an expert panel that will examine the proposal to change Aotearoa’s national qualification system. This is a significant opportunity for practising kaiako to contribute directly to the direction of assessment reform and the wider secondary pathway system.

The panel will include 8 to 10 members with strong insight into teaching and learning in Aotearoa. PPTA is seeking educators with experience in Māori education, equity and inclusion, neurodiversity, culturally responsive practice and the principles of a coherent qualification framework. Panel members will review research, engage with stakeholder voices and provide an independent report to the PPTA Executive and Annual Conference in September 2026.

If you are a kaiako with experience in equity, Māori education, neurodiversity, culturally responsive practice or the wider realities of schooling in Aotearoa, this is a valuable opportunity to contribute your expertise. A range of perspectives is important, particularly from those working closely with diverse learners and communities across the motu.
