Rally Your Street for the Space for Nature Competition

To get more residents involved in these backyard conservation efforts, Space for Nature's new street-by-street challenge has been launched across our local neighbourhoods. The initiative encourages communities to work together, look after te taiao, and visibly demonstrate their commitment to ecological health.
Competition Information
Closing Date: The Space for Nature competition runs until 31 July 2026.
Core Task: Encourage neighbours to join the programme and send in a photo of your letterboxes displaying the official signs.
Registration Process: Ask your neighbours to put your name in the "who did you hear about Space for Nature from?" section on the sign-up form.
Tally Contact: Email your name to rose@envirohub.org.nz so the organisers can track the registrations for your street.
Categories for the Space for Nature Competition
Participants can compete in two distinct categories to win local prizes. The first category rewards the first person to successfully sign up their neighbours who share a letterbox stand, requiring three or more adjoining letterboxes to display the signs. The second category recognises the individual who coordinates the highest number of new registrations across their entire street.
