Free teacher PD in Rotorua! Calling all ECE/primary teachers, Playcentre parents, and homeschool parents in Rotorua!

This event has been organised by Rotorua Playcentre Cluster.


When: Thursday 1st May

Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm


What we will learn about...


  • A brief explanation of what Kids Greening Taupo (KGT) is

  • The importance of connecting tamariki to nature

  • Examples of how KGT use nature education to educate tamariki about our unique native species and connections in the ecosystem

  • Resources available on the KGT website and discuss ways to use them with pre-schoolers

  • A walk and scavenger hunt and texture hunt, using resources developed especially for the Redwood forest.

  • Finish with a discussion around ways to overcome barriers and build confidence in utilising these spaces.
