Sow the Seed Regional Hubs Term 4 2025

The New Zealand Horticulture and Agriculture Teachers Association (HATA) and Sow the Seed are inviting kaiako to join the Sow the Seed Regional Hubs in Term 4, 2025. These hubs are a chance to connect with colleagues, share ideas, and access practical resources to strengthen AgHort education across Aotearoa.


Sow the Seed Regional Hubs Term 4 2025

This term’s hubs will feature:

  • New junior resources to support classroom delivery

  • A Mātiki Minecraft tutorial to spark student engagement

  • Updates from Muka Tangata

  • Forward planning for 2026 subjects and beyond


With the recent curriculum changes impacting Agricultural and Horticultural Science, the hubs are more important than ever. They provide a strong support network for teachers, ensuring that AgriEducation continues to grow and thrive in schools.


Regional Hubs are being hosted around the motu, including:

  • Mt Maunganui College,

  • St Paul’s Collegiate,

  • Smedley Station,

  • Feilding High School,

  • Solway College,

  • Motueka High School,

  • St Bede’s College,

  • Geraldine High School,

  • Otago Boys’ High School,

  • Southland Boys’ High School, and more.
