Join Tauranga Moana Biosecurity Capital's final Partners Forum of the year, as they bring together experts and industry representatives to discuss Aotearoa New Zealand’s current response to the yellow-legged hornets (Vespa velutina) discovery.

This online session will explore the latest developments, response strategies, and potential impacts for communities, beekeepers, and primary industries.

We’ll hear from:

  • Mike Inglis, North Commissioner, Biosecurity New Zealand

  • Karin Kos, Chief Executive, Apiculture New Zealand

  • Arnuad Cartier, Senior Technician - Entomology / Inverterbrate Containment Facility Manager, Bioeconomy Science Institutes

This session aims to ensure our network is informed and prepared, with guidance from those most connected to the situation. It’s a chance to ask questions, share perspectives, and strengthen collective readiness as we continue to protect Aotearoa’s environment and economy from invasive threats.
