Modern technology depends on raw materials that face growing global supply issues. From electric vehicle batteries to solar panels, essential hardware relies on elements that are scarce, expensive, or complex to extract.


Café Scientifique Tauranga has organised this public session to connect our community directly with leading scientists working on real-world solutions. The MacDiarmid Institute for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology is bringing two top researchers to Tauranga to share how local innovation supports our clean energy transition.


  • Date and Time: Monday, 17 August, 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM (Doors open at 6:30 PM)
